Continue Browsing TripsWe officially welcome you from 11:00 am, inviting everyone to arrive at a relaxed pace.
For those who reach Bir earlier, there’s an optional gentle morning gathering. Over breakfast and a quiet nature session starting around 8:30 am, we begin slowing down together — easing out of travel mode and into presence. There’s no pressure to participate; it’s simply a soft doorway into the weekend.
Late morning brings the first full group circle — a warm, playful welcome designed to help us tune out of everyday rhythms and tune into ourselves and one another. The afternoon unfolds gently, with nourishing food and time in water — swimming, resting, or being held by nature.
As evening falls, we gather around fire. Through ritual, reflection, and shared stories, we create space for release and connection — letting the day close slowly and meaningfully.
Saturday begins in quiet at Deer Park Institute. Some moments are held in silence, allowing stillness to lead; others offer gentle guidance to explore presence more deeply. A forest walk invites grounding and spaciousness, while creative practices in the afternoon offer a playful way to express what’s been stirring beneath the surface.
There is time to rest, wander, or be by yourself — followed by a sunset gathering that brings the group back together. Conversation, aspiration, shared food, and laughter round out the day, blending reflection with ease and enjoyment.
The final morning opens with stillness, followed by light teaching and gentle movement — a chance to feel into what has shifted and settled.
As the day unfolds, we gradually turn outward. A visit to a nearby place of inspiration invites fresh perspective, before coming together one last time for a shared celebration. Through creativity, conversation, music, and food, we integrate the experience — not by rushing to conclusions, but by honoring what feels complete.
The retreat formally closes around 5:00 pm.
You’re welcome to leave earlier if needed — or stay with us into the evening, unhurried.
For those who feel drawn to linger, there is also the possibility to stay one additional day. If there’s interest, we’ll co‑create a gentle extension — perhaps hands‑on creativity like pottery, time at a monastery, or simply more space to rest. Bir is also a well‑known paragliding spot, and we’re happy to help coordinate that for anyone curious. This extra day remains optional and responsive — shaped by whoever feels the call.
