Arrive at Bandaranaike Airport and meet your guide. Drive to Chilaw to visit Munneswaram Kovil and Manavari Kovil, both linked to the Ramayana. Continue to Mannar to see the ancient Ketheeswaram Temple, then proceed to Jaffna to visit Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil and Naguleswaram Temple. Head to Trincomalee to explore Thiru Koneswaram and the Shankari Devi Shakti Peeth, followed by the Kanniya Hot Springs. Travel to Sigiriya to climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress, then visit a Spice Garden en route to Kandy. In Kandy, tour the city and visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic. Continue to Ramboda to see the Sri Bhakta Hanuman Temple and a Tea Factory, then travel to Nuwara Eliya for a city tour. Visit Seetha Amman Temple and Hakgala Botanical Garden, then Divurumpola, followed by stops at Ravana Falls and Ravana Cave on the way to Kataragama to visit its multi-faith temple complex. Next morning, see Ussangoda, then drive to Galle to visit Rumassala, tied to the Ramayana. Continue to Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara, Buddha’s final visiting site in Sri Lanka, and end in Colombo for hotel check-in.

Day 1 – Arrival → Chilaw → Mannar

  • Arrive at Bandaranaike International Airport; meet your guide.
  • Drive to Chilaw (1.5–2 hrs).
  • Visit Munneswaram Kovil (ancient Hindu temple linked to the Ramayana).
  • Visit Manavari Kovil, the first Shiva Lingam installed by Lord Rama.
  • Continue to Mannar (2.5–3 hrs).
  • Visit Ketheeswaram Temple, one of the Pancha Ishwarams dedicated to Shiva.

Day 2 – Mannar → Jaffna

  • Drive to Jaffna.
  • Visit Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil, a major Murugan temple.
  • Visit Naguleswaram Temple, another significant Shiva temple.
  • Overnight in Jaffna.

Day 3 – Jaffna → Trincomalee

  • Drive to Trincomalee (approx. 4.5 hrs).
  • Visit Thiru Koneswaram Temple, one of Sri Lanka’s five ancient Shiva temples.
  • Visit Shankari Devi Shakti Peeth.
  • Explore Kanniya Hot Springs, famous seven natural wells.

Day 4 – Trincomalee → Sigiriya → Kandy

  • Drive to Sigiriya (2–2.5 hrs).
  • Climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress (5th-century royal citadel & UNESCO site).
  • Continue to Matale and visit a Spice Garden.
  • Arrive in Kandy, check in & relax.

Day 5 – Kandy → Ramboda → Nuwara Eliya

  • Morning Kandy city tour.
  • Visit Temple of the Tooth Relic (UNESCO).
  • Drive to Ramboda (2 hrs).
  • Visit Sri Bhakta Hanuman Temple.
  • Visit a Tea Factory to learn the tea-making process.
  • Continue to Nuwara Eliya (1.5 hrs).
  • Evening Nuwara Eliya city tour (Little England, Lake Gregory, Post Office).

Day 6 – Nuwara Eliya (Ramayana Sites)

  • Visit Seetha Amman Temple (site where Sita was held captive).
  • Visit Hakgala Botanical Garden (Ashok Vatika in Ramayana).
  • Visit Divurumpola (Sita’s “test of fire”).

Day 7 – Nuwara Eliya → Ella → Kataragama

  • Drive through Ella (2 hrs).
  • Stop at Ravana Falls and Ravana Cave (linked to Sita’s captivity).
  • Continue to Kataragama (2.5 hrs).
  • Visit Kataragama Temple, a multi-faith sacred site.

Day 8 – Kataragama → Ussangoda → Galle → Kelaniya → Colombo

  • Visit Ussangoda, believed to be burnt by Hanuman’s fire-lit tail.
  • Drive to Galle (3 hrs).
  • Visit Rumassala, said to be a fragment of the Himalayan mountain carried by Hanuman.
  • Continue to Kelaniya (2–2.5 hrs).
  • Visit Kelaniya Raja Maha Vihara, Buddha’s final visiting site in Sri Lanka.
  • Drive to Colombo (30 mins).
  • Check in to hotel.
