Food: Goat Village is one of the great places to experience authentic Garhwali cuisine with your own twist, with the guidance of the experienced chefs there, and invent a unique and new recipe, keeping it traditional yet slightly modern! Scrambled eggs made of Desi eggs from their very own poultry and various dishes made by using Mandua (like roti, laddu, or delicious sandwiches). Do not forget the amazing tangy fresh Pudina Chutney. Get the chance to be experimental with homegrown cherry tomatoes, strawberries, peas, corn, and more.
Activities: Witness the breathtaking vista of the Himalayan ranges from the top. Go on hikes and treks; milk the goats, experience farming with the locals or camp while doing nothing. Lighten up your nights under the clear sky dotted with stars and a bonfire to keep you warm.
- The Goat Village has a ‘keechad’ pool (mud pool), where you can participate in a ‘keechad party’.
- If you’re visiting between July and September, it’s possible to go mushroom and herb hunting.
- If the weather permits, kite flying can be enjoyed.
- For the bird and insect enthusiasts, it’s possible to take a walk in the areas surrounding the Goat Village and spot beautiful avifauna. You can also pick rhododendron, chamomile, goji berries on the way and generally enjoy the views.
